I am a native santa barbaran and a mexicana, so I can relate with Bobby. But it hurts me to see yet another person celebrating themselves at the cost of the tragedies in our community. I acknowledge that this video may have been made with the intentions of inspiring kids to choose a more socially accepted path, but it has only brought even more attention to the negative "gang life". I personally work with at risk youth and have pretty much dedicated my life to my community. I would have hoped that the video could have only focused and celebrated the success and accomplishments of our youths, unfortunately they are too often overshadowed by the tragic events that make the front page news.
